Abductors of Toyin, wife of one of the senior editors of the Sun Newspaper, Steve Nwosu, have requested for the sum of N100m to effect the release of victim. Authority of the Lagos State Police Command has described the captors as thieves.
The state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, added that the police had launched a manhunt for the gang, which he also said terrorized the Ago Palace, Okota area on Monday.
The robbers had reportedly stormed Baale Street, Ago Palace Way, in the Okota area, at about 2.00am on Monday, breaking into houses and dispossessing residents of their valuables.
It was learnt that the robbers also entered the deputy director’s apartment and robbed the family before abducting Steve’s 40-year-old wife, a mother of four.
