COVID -19: NIPR Digital Summit Addresses Virtual Brand Experience

“Shaping Virtual Brand Experience” would be the central theme of discuss at the 2020 edition of the annual Lagos digital Public Relations Summit organized by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Lagos State Chapter.

Holding between Wednesday 21st to Thursday 22nd October 2020, the Virtual Summit is targeted at professional  public relations practitioners engaged in Public relations departments, Public Affairs, Corporate Communications, brand management and consultancies firms of public and private sector organizations across the country.

In a statement signed by the  Chapter Chairman, Lagos NIPR, Olusegun McMedal, the institute observed that the “COVID-19 pandemic has altered the public relations practice from how it was  known hitherto.

The global pandemic, the institute added has radically changed the way we work, socialize, create and share information thereby escalating crisis communications, bringing to the forefront of communicator’ skills and thus placing purpose at the core of messages.

The Lagos digital Public Relations summit, the flagship two-day experiential gathering of communicators  will therefore be focused on achieving collective intelligence to equip and capacitate communicators with high-level digital communication strategies, tactics and how-to’s, so they can do their businesses better and lift their online media campaign results.

According to the organizers, course modules for the fifth edition of the digital summit will address topical issues among other subjects, such as the Fundamentals of Digital Marketing, Data Privacy and Protection for the PR Practice, Understanding the Role of Purpose During Crisis, Managing and Motivating a PR Team and   Managing Public Sector Communications During Normal & Crisis Periods.Other highlighted subjects include Building Trust During Uncertainties, Understanding the Concept of Virality, Storytelling Strategies for Communication Managers, Mastering Media Planning & Budgeting Strategies and Fundamentals Email Marketing.

Attendees will gain practical knowledge on how to: Network and be inspired with  their marketing communications  colleagues,  adapt to the fast-growing digital communication landscape as well as debate and learn from the entire media and marketing communications ecosystem.

Other beneficial subjects of the two day summit includes in addition, creating checklists with a view to ensure that messaging is 100% digitally optimized,  Master media planning campaigns and budgeting strategies as well as deploying storytelling in the right way.“
