Dokpesi, Iwuanyanwu Unveil New Political Party Ahead 2019

In preparation for the 2019 general elections, founder of DAAR Communications, Raymond Dokpesi and a former chairman of the Labour Party, Dan Iwuanyanwu, on Monday,5th June unveiled a new political party called Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance, APDA. The new party’s slogan is ‘Stronger together’.
The new party’s inauguration took place in the afternoon,and was aired live on African Independent Television, AIT, a broadcast station owned by DAAR Communications.
Dokpesi, who was before the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, crisis campaigning to be the National Chairman of the PDP, was joined by Iwuanyanwu at the occasion which is ongoing at Reiz Continental Hotels in Abuja. Other politicians were present at the venue.
It could be recalled that there had been speculations that the Ahmed Makarfi-led faction, which is in a leadership tussle of the PDP with Ali Modu Sheriff, was contemplating floating APDA. But the Makarfi-led national caretaker committee promptly distanced itself from the said party.
