EKITI 2018: I Have No Plan To Dump APC — Segun Oni

By Rotimi Ojomoyela Ado Ekiti —
Deputy National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Segun Oni, yesterday, declared that he had plan to dump the party if denied the governorship ticket for the July 14 election.
Oni dismissed the widespread rumour that he was having relationship with former President Olusegun Obasanjo- led coalition, saying such a rumour was a desperate attempt to ridicule his rising profile.
He also denied having any link with the Social Democratic Party, insisting that he never intended to fly the governorship flag of the party.
Oni said this in Ilawe and Ikere Ekiti during his campaign tour to the local governments to meet with the delegates of the party ahead of the governorship primary slated for May. Oni said: “They said I want to follow former President Obasanjo’s coalition to SDP, this was a mere rumour. They went further to say I want to make Prince Adedayo Adeyeye my Deputy Governor in SDP. All these were lies just to rubbish my good profile.
“People have the right to imagine anything, no matter how senseless. I remain a leading governorship aspirant in APC. I want to contest the primary, win the ticket and the governorship election. So, it will be tantamount to mere illusion for anybody to say I want to defect.”
