An articulated truck, whose driver is yet to be identified but with the Registration No KK837JJJ lost control while in motion and ran into a Shuttle Bus with the Number Plate FGG455XA along Upper Iweka Road by old defunct NITEL in Onitsha, killing one pedestrian while other four sustained severe injuries.
It was gathered that the Police operatives attached to CPS, Onitsha mobilized to the scene of the unfortunate incident and rushed the victims to Toronto hospital where the doctor confirmed one person dead on arrival while four others are currently responding to treatment.

For-Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command, said the corpse has been deposited at the mortuary for postmortem Examination and obstruction cleared to enable free flow of traffic.
However, the truck driver escaped and effort is being intensified to get him arrested as Investigation to ascertain circumstances surrounding the incident also ongoing.
Consequently, the Command urged the public whose relations were not seen to check at Toronto hospital Onitsha for possible identification of the victims please.
