How Amotekun Secure Release of Akeredolu’s CoS Wife

Local hunters under the aegis of Amotekun Corps have secured the release of the abducted wife of the Chief of Staff to Ondo Governor, Mrs Ale.

It would be recalled that Chief Ale’s wife was abducted on Thursday night while returning from Lagos along the Ondo-Akure highway.

She was released after about two days in the kidnappers’ den.

The Commander of the Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, who confirmed the release of Mrs Ale said it was too early to disclose details of the rescue operation.

According to a source who preferred anonymity, said the woman was released on Saturday morning following security intelligence jointly carried out by the hunters and other security agencies which led to the discovery of where the kidnappers kept their victims.

The source also disclosed that some suspects have been arrested in relation to the kidnapping.

Source added: “I can confirm to you that the wife of the Chief of Staff has secured her freedom and on her way to Akure. She was released without paying the ransom as she was rescued by Amotekun and local hunters.”

Commandant of the Amotekun Corps, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, who confirmed the release of Mrs. Ale, said it was too early to disclose how the rescue operation was carried out.
