LASU Senate Set To Clear 2,500 Backlog Results Of External Students

By Lukmon Oloyede.
Vice Chancellor of the Lagos State University, Prof Lanre Fagbohun, said the Senate of the institution will on Wednesday clear the results of about 2,500 students, part of those who went through the Lagos State University External System (LASUES) for some years.
Speaking during a media briefing on Monday, Fagbohun stated that the issue of backlog of results in LASUES had been a major concern and that the school had set up a taskforce headed by Prof Cordelia Nwaboku of the Faculty of Education to work with the Directorate of LASUES to ensure backlog of results were accounted for.
“What we have observed was that there are some who are not our students on the External System but cashed in on various challenges in the university to claim studentship. So we have directed that all students’ results should be uploaded on the university website so that the Task Force can also ascertain the status of every students,” he said.
“An advertorial would be placed very shortly that all students with various complaints should download a ‘complaint form’ from the website. Phone numbers and e-mail of Prof Nwaboku will also be made public as a channel through which the affected students can send in their complaints.

The VC added that the Senate will on Wednesday sit to approve about 2500 results of LASUES.
