Nigerians Protest Missing 2016 Budget On Twitter

By Gilbert Alasa.

Nigerians on Twitter are angry over the reportedly missing 2016 budget presented to the national assembly on December 22, 2015 by President Muhammadu Buhari.

It was learned that the missing budget was the subject of the discussion at Tuesday’s executive session of the senate, which lasted more than an hour. A top official has already confirmed that there is currently no 2016 budget at the national assembly.

The development has again raised questions regarding the lack of a culture of responsibility among Nigeria’s ruling elite. From comic tweets to witty reactions, Nigerians are shocked at the manner in which the said budget got missing.
