Pepsi, Mavin Records, Soundcity Others Rise For 2023 LAIF Awards

The last quarter of the year beckons. Brands and agencies have resumed the justle for greater relevance as different recognition platforms announce dates for their events.

For the Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival Awards, LAIF, top brands like Pepsi-Naija,  Desperado, Mavins Records, and Soundcity Africa have stepped in to add deeper life to the prestigious  LAIF Awards organized by the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria, AAAN.

In the words of the association on its Instagram handle, “We are gearing up for the LAIF 2023 Season.”

LAIF Awards, which commenced in 2006 is an annual event instituted by the AAAN is West Africa’s largest celebration of creativity. The event aims to recognise, reward, and foster creative excellence in all areas of marketing communications.

Recall last year, Noah’s Ark Communications and X3M Ideas stole the limelight at the 2022 Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival (LAIF) Awards. Noah’s Ark emerged 2022 Agency of the Year, winning 50 medals – 9 Gold, 18 Silver, and 23 Bronze.

The winner was closely trailed by X3M Ideas who came second on the medals table with a medal haul of 8 Gold, 11 Silver, and 4 Bronze while Insight Publicis and Dentsu MCGarryBowen Limited emerged third and fourth, respectively. Insight Publicis won 2 Gold, 7 Silver, and 9 Bronze, while Dentsu MCGarryBowen Limited got 2 Gold, 4 Silver, and 5 Bronze.
