Redeemer’s University BrandiQ Campus Club Executives Visit Synthesis Communications    

The Executive members of the Redeemer’s University, Ede (RUN)BrandiQ Campus Club on Thursday, May 14, visited the corporate office of Synthesis Communications – the publishing and franchise owner of the magazine. The students were led by one of their lecturers Dr. OmowaleAdelabu. Also in attendance during the visit were BrandiQ Club representatives of the University of Lagos, Akoka and the Lagos State University, Ojo who were there as observers.
According to the President of the BrandiQ Campus Club (RUN Chapter) Miss Opeyemi Adebiyi – a 400 Level Mass Communication student, “We are here first and foremost to know Synthesis Communications office as the franchise owner of BrandiQ magazine and also to familiarize ourselves with the management and the Editorial team. We also came to thank them for establishing BrandiQ Club in our Campus as we have benefited immensely from the magazine and the Club. Thirdly, we have come to share with the management what we have been doing so far and our future plans for the Club especially for our forthcoming Mass Communication Week in the University”.

Receiving the visitors, the Managing Director/CEO of Synthesis Communications and the Editor-in-Chief of BrandiQ magazine, Mr. Desmond Ekeh expressed his appreciation for the students’ thoughtfulness to visit the organization. He also commended the students for making good use of the opportunity provided by the BrandiQ platform to further their studies and enhance their academic pursuit.
According to him, “BrandiQ magazine is commitment to excellence and leadership through knowledge transfer and knowledge transference. We are proud of what the Redeemer’s University Campus Club – with the support of their lecturers and management – have achieved so far with BrandiQ. We respect the foresight and responsiveness of the University toward what is good for the mind and soul. We trust that with what they have achieved so far, they are set to achieve more. We will encourage the other universities to emulate the BrandiQ Campus Club in RUN for the good of the students and the society at large.”
 
Mr. Ekeh who took the visitors through the profile and background of the company reiterated the vision of the company and the goals of the magazine. He emphasized the need for the provision of quality graduates and skilled hands in the marketing communication sector – marketing, branding, media, public relations, advertising and all – as a basis for sustaining the creative production industry, and also the need for training responsible and enterprising citizens who should participate fully and productively in nation building.
This, he noted, is the reason BrandiQ organizes workshops and seminars to support the students in their academic work while also organizingan annual symposium as an intervention initiative to provide a public platform to interrogate and deliberate on national issues for the purpose of building Brand Nigeria.

In his remarks Dr. Adelabucommended the efforts of BrandiQ magazine in growing the Knowledge base of Nigerian students, especially those in Redeemer’s University. His words: “Over the years, my department, mass communications, has benefitted immensely from your support through the Club and the free copies of your magazine. The Marcomm Academy segment of your magazine has become an official toolbox of the department. This explains why the department had to convince our school management to promptly provide all the support that the BrandiQ Club needs.” He also revealed that the Club executives in Redeemers University have lined up series of activities that they can synchronize with those proposed by the magazine.
 
The President of BrandiQ Campus Club, RUN Chapter, OpeyemiAdebiyi presented a plan for the 2015 BrandiQ Week. She revealed that her team had chosen a theme for the Week- “Building a World Class University: The Role of Brand Management.” She explained that the theme was chosen as part of the Club’s contribution to the ultimate goal of their University which is to build a world class university. She said there would be a public lecture/ seminar, award presentations, a get-together and a formal handing over to a new executive. She also said that the BrandiQ Week would hold in the month of June.
 
[ad id=”169″]The Deputy Managing Director of Synthesis Communications and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of BrandiQ Mr. AgboAgbocommended the initiatives set by the executives in the three institutions. He pledged the management’s full support to the Club in the organization of the 2015 BrandiQ Week at the Redeemers University. He also commended the plans initiated by the BrandiQ Clubs in UNILAG and LASU to inaugurate their own chapters to enable them hold major events on their campuses. Mr. Agbo promised that BrandiQ management team will ensure that all chapters in major tertiary institutions in Nigeria are inaugurated at the shortest possible time.
