The war of Android smartphone is growing since the last decades. And it seems, every high-end brands want to overcome the sales of other brand.
At this year’s Mobile World Congress taking place from February 22th to 25th, in Barcelona, Spain global smartphone giants will be unleashing new devices to the global market. The conference which typically takes place each year in February, will feature big names from across the tech space, including manufacturers, mobile carriers, and vendors from across the globe.
With so many smartphones set to be unveiled, BrandiQ enlist top five smartphones which will surely be the centers of attention in the upcoming MWC 2016.

Samsung Galaxy S7 – There have been more rumors than confirmed updates about Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone, and that buzz will surely continue in the days leading up to this year’s Mobile World Congress. From what we know so far, the Galaxy S7 is said to feature a black chassis, a 12-megapixel camera with dual pixel autofocus system and f/1.7 aperture and an improved battery life. Still being the king of Android smartphones, the Galaxy S7 is surely the biggest ticket in the MWC this year.
HTC One M10 – The Taiwanese firm often has fairly quiet shows at MWC, at least compared to rivals. Although it is yet to be confirmed by the firm on the release dat of the much-talked-about M10 in this year’s MWC it is commonly believed that the HTC One M10 could be announced at the event.Â

Sony Xperia Z6 – So far little is known about the Sony Xperia Z6, but early rumblings are promising. For one thing it could apparently have a completely new design, with metal playing a big role. According to a report, Sony Xperia Z6 series will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 820 64-bit SoC which contains Four custom cores named Kryo. Like the Xperia Z5, Xperia Z6 is also said to have a 5.2-inch screen. There’s no real news on what the resolution will be, but what it apparently won’t be is 4K, despite Sony introducing that resolution on the Xperia Z5 Premium.
According to xperiasony.com, Xperia Z6 and Z6 Compact flagships will come with inbuilt Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. They will receive future Android updates upto 2 years.
LG G5 – LG will be unveiling the LG G5 later this month during MWC 2016. The latest G-series phone will actually make its first appearance on Feb. 21, the day before the show starts. As the name suggests, it would be the fifth phone in LG’s “G” line, which the Korean manufacturer considers to be its flagship line meant for the typical consumer. There are rumours of a 5.3-inch display with a QHD resolution — nothing too earth-shattering there, and the slightly smaller size would make sense given the existence of the V10. Other rumored features include 20MP main camera for photos and videos, 8MP front-facing camera and will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow as its operating system.
Xiaomi Mi 5 – The Xiaomi Mi 5 is being touted as the first Android-powered handset to house the Snapdragon 820 processor, making it one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2016. The Chinese company confirmed that its next flagship smartphone will be released on February 24, a date coinciding with the MWC. Although the Xiaomi Mi range is yet to hit the African market but the company smartphones are gaining significant preference in Asia.
Prices of these devices are yet to be known but each of the devices according to speculations within $400 to $850 at shores.
