UNILAG Students Gear Up For  2015/2016 Union Elections  

The management of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), has notified the University community of the commencement of electioneering activities for the Students Union.
 
On the approval of the Vice-Chancellor, the Dean, Student Affairs has constituted an Electoral Committee to conduct the elections into ULSU and the Student Legislative Council.
 
The Sub Dean/Faculty Staff Advisers and the Hall Masters/Mistresses have also been directed to constitute Electoral Committee for their Faculties and Halls elections.
 
The ULSU Electoral Committee is to have a representative from each of the Faculties and the College of Medicine.  The Chairman of the Committee is Dr. M.P. Kuton, Deputy Director, Distance Learning Institute (DLI) and the Vice Chairman will be a student member of the Committee to be elected by the student members of the Committee.
 
The Committee is to: Select /elect members of the Electoral College for the ULSU elections. Conduct elections into the ULSU executive positions; select/elect members of the Student Legislative Council from the Constituencies and advise the Dean on any other matter relating to the ULSU elections.
