Leading travel agency and one-stop-shop for travelers, Travelstart has officially commissioned its new state-of-the-art workspace at the Murtala Mohammed Airport (MMA2) Ikeja to avail customers seamless access to its products and services in a world-class environment.
The new office space is a testament to the company’s continuous focus on affordable travel and simplifying the travel booking experience for its discerning customers and prospects.
While speaking on the new development, Travelstart’s Country Manager, Nigeria, Bukky Akomolafe, explains that the new office provides a conducive environment and ambiance that perfectly aligns with the company’s mission aimed at connecting customers to their ambitions. Furthermore, the new office is a reflection of the leading agency’s growing footprint in Nigeria, she added.
Alongside this development, Travelstart has introduced a couple of other innovative technological solutions aimed at further enhancing customers’ interactions and experience with the brand.
One such innovation is its unique AI (Artificial Intelligence) travel assistant. This is a chatbot designed to understand and interact in Pidgin English, a common lingua in Nigeria, with the aim of assisting customers in achieving a seamless, stress-free, and straightforward travel booking experience and resolution of issues.
The company has also revamped some of its digital assets and offerings by upgrading the Travelstart mobile Application, aptly called “Travelstart App”. The makeover Travelstart App is now a more versatile tool with improved capabilities for better flight booking experience, ticket modifications, and can also allows transactions in different currencies.

In addition to the new workspace, Travelstart has also introduced Lucy, a WhatsApp bot designed for easy accessibility and prompt resolution of issues. Lucy offers the convenience of making bookings and viewing deals. These improvements and additions will add new dimensions to Travelstart’s commitment to providing seamless travel experiences for its customers and setting standards for the industry, some guests intoned at the event.
Some key personalities that graced the workspace commissioning event are Nigerian singer, rapper, actor, entrepreneur, and politician, Olubankole Wellington – AKA Banky W (Celebrity guest); Yann Gilbert – Amadeus (General Manager); Yinka Folami – Vice President, NANTA; Kolawole Bamigboye – Bi- Courtney (Head of space and Premises ) and Eka Obaigbena – CEO of Toasties.
Also in attendance were Alex Olafare – Head of Marketing Travelstart; Modupe Thompson-Ehima- Head of Operations; Ayo Tanimowo – Head of Finance, Pamela Akpavie – Head of Human Resources and Legal and Allen Okoromu – Head of Airline Supply and Portfolio team to mention but a few.
