Deloitte Money League: Real Madrid remains world's richest club

By Lukmon Oloyede.
Real Madrid top the Deloitte Football Money League for an 11th consecutive year, with revenue of €577 million confirming the Spanish giants’ status as the world’s richest football club.
Despite a treble-winning 2014/15 campaign, Barcelona are playing second fiddle to their Spanish rivals.
Financial services company Deloitte said that Real’s club revenue was €577m ($629m) in 2014-15, boosted by a €22.7m increase in commercial sales. Match-day income also rose by €9.1m, although broadcast revenue slipped by €4.3m. The combined revenue figure for the 20 clubs named in the Money League increased by eight per cent to €6.6bn.

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal were all non-movers in the top 10, while Barcelona and Manchester United swapped places and Liverpool were the only newcomers.
Deloitte predicted Real Madrid’s hegemony might end soon due to “Manchester United’s strong commercial growth, underpinned by its ability to agree impressive new sponsorship deals, compensated to a certain extent for its Champions League absence in 2014/15 (the only club in the Money League top ten not to feature).”
Top 10 in full:
1 Real Madrid €577m
2 Barcelona €560.8m

  1. Manchester United €519.5m
  2. Paris Saint-Germain €480.8m
  3. Bayern Munich €474m
  4. Manchester City €463.5
  5. Arsenal €435.5m
  6. Chelsea €420m
  7. Liverpool €291.8m
  8. Juventus €323.9m
