Trending: Angry Nigerians Bash President Buhari On Twitter

By Gilbert Alasa.
President Muhammadu Buhari came under fire on Monday when angry Nigerians took to Twitter to express frustrations over the “failure” of the APC government to fulfil its campaign promises to the citizens.
The online rage became intensified by a statement made by President Buhari in Saudi during his one-week official visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The president dismissed the N5,000 payment to unemployed Nigerians as a largesse, adding that instead of paying the said allowance to unemployed youths, his administration would build infrastructure and empower able-bodied men to work.
The online protesters also accused President Buhari of failure to cushion the effects of the crashing Naira against the dollar, rising poverty in the country amidst inflation, a distressed economy without direction, amongst others.
