Raypower Port-Harcourt’s air rave Olalekan Olajolumo popularly known as O-Square has left the Daar Communications-owned outfit to join Lagos Television (LTV). He becomes the second prominent presenter to leave the independent radio station, following the exit of Olaitan Bakare to a newly floated Abeokuta-based radio station, Sweet FM.
O-Square, who is popular for his Flight Time Show on Raypower Port Harcout, will now anchor LTV’s Orijinal Naija TV Show, a programme that focuses on Nigerian entertainment industry.
The convener of the Port-Harcourt Chocoberry Nite came into limelight in 1998 on Radio Rivers, before going ahead to have his stints with Treasure FM PHC, NTA PH, AIT PHC, Love FM Abuja and Brila FM Abuja.
He quits Daar Communications’ Raypower FM PHC as Head of Programmes and anchor of ‘Square Video Magik’ on AIT.
Plans are underway for an official press conference to usher in the broadcaster and an official launch party for the programme is slated for early March.
The veteran broadcaster and award-winning disc jockey will be missed by the Raymond Dokpesi-founded radio outfit for his expertise in a career spanning well over 18 years.
