Eagle Aromatic Schnapps has empowered artisans with sewing machines, drilling machines, installation kits, and welding equipment at the 2025 Nigerian Artisans and Technicians Conference held in Ibadan.

In a statement, the brand noted that the empowerment initiative, part of the three-day event themed ‘Empowering the Workforce for a Sustainable Economy’, underscored its commitment to skill development and the promotion of the dignity of labour among Nigerians.

Eagle Aromatic Schnapps said its participation in the conference demonstrated its belief in translating its cultural symbolism of success, hard work, and divine favour into practical empowerment for artisans across the country.

Assistant Brand Manager of Intercontinental Distillers Limited, Murtala Abdullah, said the initiative reflected the brand’s belief that national development begins with empowering skilled hands.

According to him, “Eagle Aromatic Schnapps stands for hard work, resilience, and divine blessing. By empowering artisans, we are not only honouring their labour but also helping to build a more productive and sustainable economy.”

Convener of the conference and Managing Director of Global Sight Services Limited, Dayo Bello, said the initiative aimed to strengthen collaboration among artisans, manufacturers, and government institutions to reposition the informal sector as a key contributor to Nigeria’s economic growth.

He said, “Our goal is to connect skilled workers with opportunities and support systems that can help them scale their craft while contributing meaningfully to the national economy.”

Also speaking, Oyo State Commissioner for Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperatives, Adeniyi Adebisi, commended the organisers and partners for supporting the state’s drive toward entrepreneurship and inclusive economic participation.

He said, “This kind of empowerment programme is critical to building a sustainable economy where every skilled Nigerian can thrive.”

The conference brought together artisans, technicians, manufacturers, and policymakers from across the country.
