Manchester United forward Anthony Martial on Sunday scored the club’s 1000th Premier League goal at Old Trafford on Sunday. The Red Devils are the first outfit in the history of the premier league to achieve the feat.
The Frenchman opened the scoring in the home match against Everton just before the hour mark when he pounced on Timothy Fosu-Mensah’s cross, following a beautiful back-flick from teenage sensation, Marcus Rashford.
It has been a remarkable season for Martial, which started with a massive move to Old Trafford from Ligue 1 side Monaco and placed huge expectations on him
The landmark goal means United have scored more home Premier League goals than any other side in the division.
Arsenal are next, with 912 goals at Highbury and the Emirates combined, while Chelsea are third on 896.
