No Issue Over Guardiola’s Meeting With City Officials – Thomas Muller

Bayern Munich forward, Thomas Muller insists that players at the club are not affected by reported meetings between Pep Guardiola and Manchester City officials.
Last week, Guardiola was pictured in Amsterdam with City director of football Txiki Begiristain as the City-bound manager plans for life in the Premier League next season.
But Muller says how Guardiola spends his days off makes no difference to the German giants, who face Italian champions Juventus in the Champions League last-16 second-leg fixture on Wednesday.
“That is not an issue within the team. The club and coach always said that they would announce his departure in the winter. But this is no problem for the players,” Muller said.
“We don’t mind if Pep Guardiola is sitting at home in his armchair or visiting someone somewhere else on his days off. This has no influence on our daily work.”
Progression to the quarter-finals of the Champions League could see Bayern competing in as many as nine games in April, but Muller is embracing the prospect of a hectic end-of-season run-in.

He added: “It isn’t actually in our minds yet, we look at it week-by-week. But of course every club wants April to be a really busy month because this means that you are still playing in European competition. These are the games you live for. So this is not a problem, we want as many games as possible.”
