ADVAN Awards Announces New Categories

The Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) has introduced new award categories ahead of its 2023 ADVAN African Awards for Marketing Excellence scheduled to hold on the 26th of November 2023 at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The new categories which are named under People’s Brand Awards will have brands within the specific industry compete as the most loved by their consumers.

The categories within the People’s Brand Awards for the 12th edition of the awards include ADVAN People’s Brand Award – Fintech; ADVAN People’s Brand Award – FMCG; ADVAN People’s Brand Award – Telecommunications; and ADVAN People’s Brand Award – Financial Institutions.

Recall, that the organizers announced submission for all entries on the 17th of September and will be closing on the 31st of October 2023.

According to the association, while other categories will be evaluated by the esteemed jury, the people’s brand awards will be done through online voting.

The distinguished members of the Jury will be led by Prof Bolajoko Nkemdinim Dixon-Ogbechie, Head Department of Business Administration, University of Lgaos.

Other Jury members include; Stanislaus Martins, President of Association of Digital Marketing professionals; Dr. Ikechukwu Obiaya, Dean of School of Media and Communications, Pan-Atlantic University; Dotun Babatunde, Head of Digital Marketing B2C, Olams Grain Nigeria; Dr. Omotola Bamigbaiye-Elatui, Marketing Director Sub Saharan Africa, Pladis Global; Victor Ukwat, Converner, The Winning Edge; Lanre Fasakin, Managing Director, CMRG Limited; and Ehis Emokhare, Acting Head, Media at Globacom.

According to a statement released on its website, “ADVAN prepares for the event with a promise to highlight the fundamental position marketing occupies in business and public sector and to celebrate marketing achievements across a range of industries. The award will be a celebration of hard work and ingenuity in the marketing profession.”
