Anambra State holds Investment Summit, To Pave Way For A Thriving Megacity

The government of Anambra state on Thursday 7th September held  its 2023 investment summit with the theme “Laying The Foundation For A Prosperous and  Smart Megacity.

The summit, held at the International Convention Centre, Awka, Anambra State capital aimed at reinforcing government’s commitment in fostering a conducive business environment for Investors.

While speaking at the summit, the governor of Anambra state Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, who spoke during the Summit, said he intends to turn the state from a departure lounge to a destination lounge for investors in infrastructure development, agriculture, power generation, urban renewal , rail feasibility, among others.

 Mark Okoye the  Managing Director, Anambra State Investment  Promotion & Protection Agency (ANSIPPA) , in his opening remarks, gave insight to the summit.

On her part, The Keynote Speaker Mrs Kanayo Uwani , the Executive  Vice President of Afriexim  Bank who represented the President of Afriexim Bank Mr Bennedict Orama commended Anambra State Government on its move to open up the State.

Also Commenting on the the summit, the president Manufacturers association of Nigeria , covering , Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi, Adachukwu Chukwudozie , lauded the Initiatives of the Soludo led administration.

Meanwhile,  the secretary to the state government of Enugu state, Prof Chidiebere Onyia who was an attendee, described the summit as a regional integration, according to him, the south east region was beginning to see itself as a bloc of economic potentials and opportunities.

The summit had in attendance stakeholders in the Finance sector, including representatives of world Bank, Afriexim bank, government officials and a host of business Moguls.
