Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been named African Footballer of the Year beating Manchester City’s Yaya Toure to clinch the award on Thursday night.

Gabon international Aubameyang, who finished second to Toure a year ago, earned 143 points Thursday night, barely edging runner-up Toure’s 136 in CAF’s rankings.
