Nigerians on Twitter have turned against their senate president Dr. Bukola Saraki, calling for his resignation.
By trending #NotOurSenatePresident, they rejected Saraki’s leadership of the upper chamber and urged users on the social networking platform to unfollow the embattled senate president.
Many of the users criticised Saraki’s repeated failure to truncate the course of justice, following his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal over false asset declaration.
Saraki’s latest setback came on Friday when Justice Abdulkadir Abdu-Kafarati of Federal High Court dismissed the fundamental rights suit filed by the Senate President to stop his trial.
