Former President of Mali, Amadou Toumani Toure, is reportedly dead.
As reported by BBC, the 72-year-old died in Turkey on Tuesday morning where he was undergoing medical treatment.
The report monitored by BrandiQ News shows that he had undergone an emergency heart surgery in the Country’s capital city, Bamako before his departure from Mali.
Toure was one of the African longest Presidents who ruled Mali between 2002 – 2012. He led the Sahel nation for 10 years before being deposed by a military coup in March 2012 led by General Amadou Haya Sanogo.
