Barely few hours to the National and Rivers State Assembly rerun election, the Rivers State Commissioner for Water Resources, Chief Ibibia Walter has been abducted by unknown gunmen, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has alleged.
In a tweet, the opposition party said Chief Ibibia Walter was on his way to Okrika to participate in the election when the incident happened.
The part also claimed its agents at Ward 8 in Okirika Local Government Area have also been arrested by soldiers.
In another development, APC chieftain, Elyon Ntiro Elijah is reportedly kidnapped at Asarama waterside in Andoni Local Government Area of the state late Friday night.
His abductors reportedly took him away in a getaway speed boat by the Asarama waterside.
