Owners of UAC Foods Limited have said that over said that more than 70 per cent of raw materials used in making its flagship sausage roll, Gala, is obtained locally.
The General Manager, Marketing, UAC Foods Limited Mrs. Joan Ihekwaba, gave the disclosure at a press conference held to formally unveil Harrysong as Gala brand ambassador.

The company, a joint venture business owned by South African Tiger Brands Limited and UAC of Nigeria Plc, is planning to increase the percentage of locally sourced raw materials used in making the popular sausage roll, .According to him,
“We are very innovative and we keep looking at our processes, product offerings to see how we can offer better value to our stakeholders,” she stated.
Ihekwaba said she was optimistic that the leadership position of Gala will be strengthened by the endorsement of Harrysong and the entire Five Star Music team, saying the exploits of the musicians reflect the spirit of youth entrepreneurship which is in line with the Gala brand.
