The National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHDA) reveals that over 70 percent of medicines dispensed in Nigeria are sub-standard, posing severe health risks to the population. The Brazzaville Foundation reports that approximately 120,000 Africans die annually due to substandard drugs. In Nigeria, individuals suffer from a range of health issues, including loss of sight, hearing defects, kidney, and liver problems, attributed to substandard drugs or their misuse.
