Sola Akinsiku Becomes OAAN President

Sola Akinsiku has emerged President of the Out-of-Home Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) alongside other executive members. The newly elected exco will be heading the association in another transitional journey in the next two years.

Sola’s emergence came unopposed at the   association’s just concluded 38th Annual General Meeting themed: “The Economic Outlook in a Transition Year”, held in Asaba, the Delta State capital.

He will be replacing Emmanuel Ajufo, who has led the outdoor group for four years.

The newly appointed executives emerged unopposed in their various positions. The elected officials include Mr. Omo Abunene, who was formerly an ex-officio of the association now as the Vice-President. Mr. Churchill Nwagwu as General Secretary; Mrs. Adeola Odesanya as Assistant General Secretary; Mr. Babs Fagade as Publicity Secretary, and Mr. Chinweuba Nwagu as Treasurer.

 Akinsiku was the immediate past general secretary of OAAN and also the 55th president of Rotary Club of Ikeja (District 9110) for the 2022/2023 rotary year. He is a fellow of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON).

Omo Kingsley Abunene, the Vice President, is the Managing Director of Beam Media Ltd – an Out of Home Advertising company based in Lagos State. He is a seasoned Out-of-Home advertising practitioner and a committed team player.

He is also the Chairman of OAAN Education and Research Committee and was OAAN representative at the AISOP Committee. The new VP is a member of ARCON and has served in various capacities.
