The Redeemer's/BrandiQ Youth Leadership Forum Holds Tomorrow In Lagos

All is set for the 2018 Youth Leadership Forum organized by the Redeemer’s University, in partnership with BrandiQ, a foremost brand magazine and media outfit.IMG-20180704-WA0011[1]
The event is scheduled to take place tomorrow Saturday, July 7 at the prestigious Metropolitan Club, Victoria Island,Lagos by 1:pm prompt.
From the look of things, the event is sure going to be one of the biggest events of the year as it has in it’s line-up the Vice-President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo who is billed to be the Key-note speaker, Mr. Tony Elumelu, Chairman of UBA as the Guest Speaker, Mr. Tonye Cole, Chairman, Sahara Energy as the chairman of the event, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode is the Host Governor, while the Panelists are top-notch seasoned professionals who have a proven track record of dynamic and excellent leadership abilities in their field amongst whom are Prof. Vincent Anigbogu, DG,Institute for National Transformation, Folake Ani-Mumuney, GM, Marketing/Coporate Communication, First Bank Plc, Prof. James Tsaaior, Academic Director, Pan African Conferences,Lagos, and Omotola Bamigbaiye-Elatuyi,Marketing Manager, Guinness Nigeria Plc. Dr. Silk Ugwu Ogbu is the moderator.
Speaking on Classic fm radio yesterday, the CEO/ Publisher-in-Chief of BrandiQ, Mr. Desmond Ekeh stated that preparations for the event is in top gear, and the participants will cut across various sectors including students from secondary schools and tertiary institutions, and CEOs and young professionals in every sphere of life.In his words, “We are expecting 500 Students form 10 different universities and young professionals and CEOs across the country to talk about leadership”.IMG-20180704-WA0004[1]
Mr. Desmond went ahead to talk about the fundamentals of leadership which is lacking in our present society.
“There is leadership deficit in Nigeria. Leadership is all about service, leading people to become better than they were! We hope to change the paradigm of leadership by changing the mental construct of the youths.This is a programme that has come to stay, as we plan on taking it to various Universities across the country.”IMG-20180704-WA0003[1]
He called on the schools across the country to embrace the Initiative, as it will add a lot of value to the students.He asked them to cooperate with him and his team, rather than seeing them as rivals.
“Redeemer’s University and BrandiQ have a common interest towards developing the youths into responsible leaders. The time has come for us to democratize knowledge.Schools should open their arms to receive those who have something to impart to the students”, he concluded.IMG-20180704-WA0001[1]
This is the maiden edition of this event, and according to the organizers, they look forward to making it a yearly event.
