ADVAN Supports APCON In Promoting Advertising Industry Growth

The Association made the declaration recently when members of its Executive Council paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Registrar / Chief Executive of APCON, Dr Olalekan Fadolapo at the Iganmu Secretariat of the Council in Lagos.

The ADVAN Executives led by Acting President of the association Mrs Bunmi Adeniba expressed their commitment to promoting strong collaborations with APCON and all other stakeholders to engender development in the advertising industry.

The ADVAN Acting President was supported on the courtesy visit by key officers of the association including the Executive Secretary, Mrs Ediri Ose – Ediale.

Speaking at the occasion, The ADVAN Acting President affirmed the Advertisers Association and its members’ commitment in supporting the regulatory body’s agenda geared towards promoting the development of the Industry.

 She said “The Advertisers Association and its members are committed in supporting any agenda geared towards promoting the development of the Industry and relevance of the marketing communications profession”.

The APCON Registrar, Dr Fadolapo supported by other top echelon of the government’s regulatory body, while responding to the visitors’ goodwill message and advice, outlined the advertising regulatory body’s road map towards creating a more value driven regulatory system for the benefits of all stakeholders in the industry.

“Our focus is creating a more value driven regulatory system taking cognizance and interests of all stakeholders and the industry at large” declared Dr. Fadolapo.

Commenting on the corporate visit, ADVAN Executive Secretary, Mrs. Ediri Ose-Ediale, said one of the key take out from the meeting was the need for strong collaboration towards progressive industry leadership from stakeholders.

“It is of utmost importance that all stakeholders collaborate towards moving the industry forward especially now that we have a new CEO in place who fully understands the intricacies of the industry” she stated.

ADVAN was founded in 1992 to advance the interest of the marketing Industry in Nigeria by spearheading and ensuring global best practices as well as facilitating collaborative partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
