Ecobank Partners With Netplus On Online Trading Platform

Ecobank Nigeria, has partnered Netplus Advisory to introduce an online trading platform called MyMall Nigeria. The online platform is targeted at small business operators to market and sell their goods and services.
According to a statement by the financial institution, the online mall is designed for all categories of products and can be accessed from any part of the globe.

The Deputy Managing Director, Ecobank Nigeria, Mr. Tony Okpanachi, who spoke at the launch of the platform, said the decision to set up MyMall Nigeria was aimed at providing a platform for its SMEs customers to maximise the enormous opportunities in the e-commerce world and take their businesses to a higher level.
“Ecobank is bringing this opportunity to our SMEs because we believe that business will significantly move from the brick and mortar to online presence. We are confident that our customers will not be left behind; MyMall Nigeria will equip you to have an online presence and be relevant in the market place of this age,” Okpanachi said.
Okpanachi was confident that the bank’s branch network spread across the country and a strong presence in 36 African countries would be an added advantage to participants at the mall. He further added that the platform is working to enable payment across borders.
Ecobank Nigeria Business Banking Executive, Mr. Kingsley Umadia, said the platform could not have come at a better time, saying the online marketing space powered by the bank would provide tools for trade for the SMEs to succeed.
The country Head of SME/Value Chain Banking, Mr. Sunkanmi Olowo, was quoted as saying, “As of today, 62 SME operators have enlisted on MyMall. It is a one-stop online mall for buyers and sellers to fulfil their needs for selling and buying online.
